Ever since I can remember I've been interested in art, weather it was painting, sculpting, pottery or decorating. All I knew was that I wanted to be an artist. Actually that is a little bit of a stretch, I also wanted to be a game ranger. I guess if you’re born and raised in Africa, enjoying nature and the wilderness is just something that becomes you.

I guess you could say I started my career in art, painting murals on the inside of rave club walls... ha-ha yes I know those were crazy days... from what I can remember at least. That gave me my first taste of life as an artist which inturn led me onto 2d animation where I was lucky enough to get a chance to apprentice at a small animation studio in Cape Town (South Africa) that’s actually the place that I first heard about 3d animation and a small school in Canada called the Vancouver Film school. (VFS) This was like back in 1997.

I knew I wanted to go there, but it wasn't until 2004 that I had the chance to study there. I ended up taking the 3D animation and visual effects course where I specialized in Organic modeling and texturing. I have to say that my time spent there was awesome, go 3d53 and all my peeps!

I ended up getting a job at Pendulum studios in San Diego as a character artist and I guess the rest is history. Great studio, great people to work for and a fantastic learning experience.

I have since then moved out to Australia in the hopes of finding like minded people who thrive on detail and great story telling.

To be continued......
